I am assuming the abacus is for tracking one teams score? If so, do you buy two? Where are they mounted on the table? Do you mount or is that the responsibility of the customer?

Yes, the abacus scoring beads are to track the score during your game. You can mount them on top of the rail and or on the side of the rail - the placement location is completely up to you and you can either drill them into the table or use 3M double sided sticky tape which is the recommended method.
