Saratoga Shuffleboard Tables
The Saratoga Shuffleboard, by lead Venture designer Chris McKay, captures the essence of rural East Coast. Designed in the High Adirondack style, the Saratoga gives you a piece of New England's mountain towns whether you're at home in the city or the country. All Venture tables are customizable and made in the USA.
Saratoga is a name eternally connected to American history, but while this shuffleboard may not turn the tides of war, it will certainly turn some heads. This table is a fine example of the High Adirondack school of design, using the natural colors and early 20th century motifs of the region from which it is named.
Its legs are pier-like, reflecting the type of woodwork you'd likely see around Upstate New York's gorgeous lakes. Both the legs and cradle are made from fine hardwoods that will steadily and reliably hold up the precious cargo on top. The wood can be stained in Red Oak, Mahogany, Cherry, or Poplar.
Nothing less than perfection should be acceptable when it comes to the most important part of a shuffleboard: the playfield. Venture uses grooved American beech wood blocks to construct the 3" thick playfield, a mark of dissent from the industry-standard maple blocks. This slight change in composition makes a world of difference in terms of longevity, extended further through the protective coat of a signature blend of Venture's exclusive hard clear synthetic lacquer. Another display of forethought is the inclusion of climatic adjusters, allowing you to modify your table when changing environments.
The Saratoga Shuffleboard comes in 12', 14', 16', 18', 20', and 22' sizes, which really lets you tailor your choice depending on how much space you want to afford to your table. In terms of difficulty, the shorter models are better for beginners or recreational players, while the 20' and 22' models are tournament-style lengths, perfect for aspiring or current pros.
In addition to all of these wonderful features, there are optional items which you ought to consider as well. Among other essential shuffleboard accessories, scoring systems are fantastic if you want to avoid the annoyance of keeping a score sheet around every time you play, and lights help to keep the game going in dimly lit places.
