I am from Mt. Carmel Pa. and we have league of about 16 teams. The ironic thing is all the bars have their own shuffleboard tables. The league recently split into two different leagues because of long season dispute. So now there is a short league and a long league. I could name all the establishments if desired for this site. It has become very popular within the last ten years inthis area. That's why the establishment's that didn't have a shuffleboard purchased one so they could get in the league. All these places are within a 2 to 3 mile vacinity. Thanks for your time, please send some feed back.

I live in a small community in Ohio. My family moved here from Newark, new Jersey. I belong to the Fraternal Order of Eagles. We recently purchased a regulation shuffleboard for our club. It has been well received by our members. Your web page is very interesting. I was pleased to see that shuffleboard was played years ago in New Jersey. Great site. I play in a 10 team Lake League. We play by the rules yet it is always friendly. We had an issue last Sunday where one of the players accidentlt bumped the board as he was releasing his shot. Ir shook the baord and a hanger felloff that was not hit by any puck. What is the ruling?

I played against a bunch of washinton players,also quite a few at the 99 tavern out of Winston Or.I played out of the Club tavern in springfield Oregon.Some of the best times in my life came out of playing the game,I met a lot of neat people traveled as much as I could and had a absolute blast!! Didn't win a whole lot,but every once in a while I'd whip one of the big boys,and they didn't like it.God,that was fun.Well enough for now, have a tremendous day,and I hope to talk to you again soon. John PS.Yes, if I can ,as soon as my hours change a bit,I intend to get back into it before All the skills go away! It would be a shame to waste 16 years of playing!!!!!

Thanks for a great site. Informative. I've read the torny rules. One question though. In a tornament game, are you allowed to have a quate(weight)in your other free hand, while shooting. I noticed some players, have they're shooting hand, but they also have a weight(quate) for support in there other hand while shooting. From what I understand, you can't have anything in your hands except the quate your shooting. I have heard different point of view. Could you give me the offical word on this. Thanks.
